Vardavard Charity Dental Surgery Center provides dental services to autistic children. The seed of a specialized dental center was planted when one of the founders encountered dental issues for his autistic daughter and struggled to find specialized dental clinics and required treatments.
Upon his consultation and collaboration with two professors in dentistry this center was established in 1993. Gradually, more benefactors and supporters with altruistic intentions joined the cause to assist in this charitable endeavor. Currently, around 80 dentists and university professors volunteer their services, while 34 employees are employed by the center.
The center comprises four surgical beds, an outpatient section with four dental units, radiology and also hospitalization and other needed services.

Goals

The objectives of the center include providing specialized dental services for autistic children (mostly needing sedation and general anesthesia). The center also focuses on providing these services for free or very low costs to financially disadvantaged patients and families.

To achieve these goals Vardavard Charity Surgery aims at:

• Attracting the cooperation of charitable specialists in providing specialized dental services.
• Attracting benefactors and encouraging public to secure financial support for the center.
• Expanding and developing the center in other major cities nationwide.
• Raising oral health and dental hygiene awareness
• Teaching and emphasizing on preventive oral and dental care
